and recently bought your first smartphone. Your favorite apps are WhatsApp and Instagram. You want to know how to protect yourself online, but you don’t know how because media and the Internet is not part of the school’s curriculum.
Choosing a role for the game at the Annenberg-Oxford Media Policy Summer Institute
Each player can choose a figure (avatar, game piece). By choosing a figure the player is assigned a role that will be explained in the accompanying card. The player also receives a respective name tag that should be attached.

The role of the employee Internet Service Provideris describes as: You are a 55-year-old male and employed at the biggest Internet service provider in the country. Since cost is the biggest obstacle to Internet access, you want to make the Internet more affordable. However, business in rural parts of the country that have weak
infrastructure is not profitable for your company.

If the player lands on a "pitch" space, they have two minutes to create an idea about how to improve digital participation for their role and cluster. During these two minutes, the player must also pitch the idea to the other players and convince them that the idea is worth investing in. The other players are invited to ask critical questions to determine if the idea is worth investing in.
