This image allows you to see status of digital participation in Pakistan in our five clusters: Digital Rights, Access, Media and Journalism, Society and Innovation.

Digital participation in Pakistan is moderate. Digital participation is significantly limited by poor results in the areas of access and society. Internet penetration is very low, and a lack of e-commerce infrastructure means there are few business models for sustainable innovation in civic engagement and digital journalism. Pakistan scores a little higher in the area of  media and journalism due to the virbrant television industry and culture of political debate. Regulation of social media accompined by vague laws that are open to misuse against dissenting voices lead to low scores in the area of digital rights.

Each spoke represents the results of one of our clusters. That means that the length of the spoke visualizes the magnitude of digital participation for the respective cluster. As well, all of the spokes together form a surface that indicates the level of participation through a colour range. The colour ranges from red in the middle to green in the outer part of the spokes. All in all, the radar chart enables to see the overall results as well as the cluster-specific results in one view.
